From Festivals to Oktoberfest, Discover These Fall Orange County Events

As temperatures cool to SoCal perfection this fall it’s a great time to explore these exciting Orange County events. From Dana Point to San Clemente, make the season festive and fun with these top things to do:

Disney Race Weekend/runDisney Health & Fitness Expo: August 31 – September 3

It’s marathon race weekend for Disney! From a Toy Story-themed Half Marathon to a Monsters-themed 10K and more, you’ll want to make a stop at runDisney’s Health & Fitness Expo. Tall Ships Festival: September 8-10

Location: Dana Point Harbor

California has a rich maritime history and annually the Ocean Institute hosts a fleet of historic tall ships that sail into Dana Point Harbor. Enjoy this amazing spectacle as you watch history come alive with historical re-enactors engaging the public in cannon battles, pirate adventures and even mermaid encounters. It’s an event the whole family will enjoy.

The Ohana Festival: September 8–10

Location: Doheny State Beach

This all-ages, three-day musical festival has a wonderfully diverse music line up this year, from Eddie Veder and Fiona Apple to Social Distortion and The Pixies, plus so many more! With craft beer, wine, signature cocktails, as well as an array of food from local restaurants and food trucks, you’ll have tons of fun at this beachside festival.

Pacific Paddle Games: September 30 – October 1

Location: Doheny State Beach

Family Friendly

Experience the biggest celebration of paddleboarding! With technical and distance races, watch all skill levels (including pro!) and ages compete. Presented by SUP Magazine’s Pacific Paddle Games for the third year in a row, have fun joining in clinics and watch the races to see who wins the $60,000 prize purse (the largest in the sport)!

San Clemente Seafest: October 1

Location: San Clemente Pier

From a chowder cook off and surf contests to delicious fresh seafood and an opportunity to watch a U.S. Coast Guard Search & Rescue demo operation, you’ll have so much to do and see at the 30th annual San Clemente Seafest!

Dana Point Oktoberfest: October 7

Location: Sea Terrace Park

With all ages welcome and free admission and parking, get a taste of Germany in Dana Point at Oktoberfest. Have your fill of traditional German music, culture, food, and, of course, beer.

Bike MS Bay to Bay: October 21-22

Location: From Irvine to San Diego

Cheer on the sidelines at what was voted as the “best cycling event” by readers of Competitor magazine. This annual cycling adventure invites 2,500 participants looking for a scenic and challenging ride to tackle a 25-mile bike ride down the California coast. Proceeds go to help fund MS research and critical programs for people living with MS.

A Taste of San Clemente: November 3

Location: Casino San Clemente

21 and Over Event

Dress up and enjoy wine and microbrew tastings along with restaurant samplings from around San Clemente. Attendees of this deliciously exciting event receive an engraved, limited edition “Taste of San Clemente” wine glass or beer mug. Be sure to check the website for tickets.
