Day in the Life of an OC Local

Picture this: it is a crisp spring morning and you are waking up at San Clemente Cove, just steps away from the beach. The winter rains have brought new life to Orange County, painting the hillsides orange with native California poppies. The beaches are less crowded than summer, but the mild weather makes it the perfect place to relax.

One of the best ways to experience Orange County is to spend a day in the life of a local. Here’s what you can expect:

8am – 10am

As locals, we’re all about making the most of our days, whether that means committing to relaxation or adventure. To start off the day, we recommend a steaming cup of coffee and a hearty home cooked breakfast. From there, you have a couple of options to get your dose of nature. Take a leisurely stroll along the beach, savoring that coffee while enjoying the tranquility of the shoreline. Or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, hit one of the many hiking trails in OC to take in the breathtaking views of the orange painted hills.

11am – 4pm

It’s time to explore! Orange County is home to many charming neighborhoods, including San Clemente, renowned for its Spanish-style architecture, pristine beaches and vibrant surf culture. Take a stroll through downtown San Clemente and discover unique boutiques and art galleries. Are you hungry from all that shopping? Satisfy your taste buds with the diverse range of cuisine served at local restaurants like Nick’s San Clemente and South of Nick’s Mexican Kitchen and Bar.

5pm-9pm

We may be a little biased, but Orange County truly has the most breathtaking sunsets! Whether you are a local or not, make sure to take a moment to savor this stunning sight. Grab your phone or camera and snap a photo as the sun gently kisses the coastline – share those memories with the world and don’t forget to tag us! Once the sun has set, Orange County comes to life with a wide range of dining and entertainment options. Whether you are in the mood for a casual diner or a fancy sit-down restaurant, we have it all. And after dinner, why not catch a Broadway show, concert or ballet performance at the Segerstrom Center for Arts, just 29 miles from the resort?

We invite you to stay with us at, San Clemente Cove and discover what makes Orange County so special.
